Georgia won’t win the East this year, that’d be Florida

Isn’t he a Georgia kid who lives pretty close to Athens?

I agree with that. Not saying they are some great dynasty. Just that they’ve had some good years recently.

Yeah he's in our backyard.

This doesn’t surprise me then. He was committed to OU at one point. Guess he decided being close to home was important.

One playoff and and one SEC title.

And a shitty offense.

Tired of this stupid UGA narrative.

Inexplicable? This kid lives like 15 minutes from Georgia's campus.

Absolutely fricking amazing LSU can’t pull a 5 star QB with the season they just had while they line up to go to UGA, Clemson, and Bama.

Maybe because with Brennan and Johnson we are set at QB for the next 5 years?

Yes let’s put all our stock in Johnson. That has worked out so well for us in the past

no kidding, why the melt from some of you?

if it was caleb, then i could see it, but this kid was literally right near UGA and decided to stay home.

i'm not seeing the reason for melting.

Didn't Spurrier ask a question something like this ?

"Why is it that, in August, Georgia has the best football players and then when we play them a few months later, our players are better?"

I wouldn’t be shocked if he did, UGA once had Jacob Eason, Jake Fromm, and Justin Fields on the same roster, although Eason transferred it was still amazing UGA landed fields without that declaration from Eason at the time.

Their recruiting is off the charts.

And Coley has been their OC/QB coach for the past 2 years, and has been at Georgia since Kirby took the job. He just left their program. They bring in Todd Monken, and a few days later pull in Vandagriff.

And this is Georgia's third 5* QB in the last six years. It took Kirby zero time to start bringing in elite QBs. Yes, some of those guys transferred out because they wanted more immediate playing time, but Kirby has been averaging a 5* QB every two years.

2016 - Jacob Eason - 5*
2017 - Jake Fromm - highly rated 4*
2018 - Justin Fields - 5*
2019 - Mathis - 3*
2020 - Beck - 4*
2021 - Vandagriff - 5*

We have to make our hires on offense, get Williams back on campus and we will see. Williams isn't going aboit his recruitment like most. Our hire and losing Brady are big developments. Gonna be a battle. Maybe the new guy likes someone different.

LSU needs to become a player for elite QB talent now. OU, Clemson, Bama, UGA, and Ohio State do. If LSU wants to be a playoff contender it will have to find a way as well.

Bama, UGA and OSU are the most talented (by rankings) in the country, the you have a large talent gap to the rest.

This may be the case for a lot of UGA recruits but not that much for Vandagriff. He lives literally 20 minutes outside of the UGA campus. Probably an UGA fan his entire life.
