DBU was and will continue to be built with the effort and sweat of players like this. The PP7s will always shine while they are playing next to the Mo's and HBs on the most solid and deepest defense in the NCAA.
It's amazing what a lock down secondary will allow the DC to do with the playbook.

So LSU finally gets commitment #19, after a few weeks of activity, leaving 6 more spots, if all 25 are filled.
Yes, there have been several in past years rated at or below what Gage is that became outstanding on the collegiate level. We know he has really wanted the LSU offer and believe he'll work extremely hard to show the LSU faithful what he can do to contribute to the team's success.

He has great hands on both sides if the ball and is athletic and opportunistic. Always around the ball. Tm7 like.

Well welcome aboard Mr. Gage

After watching his highlights looks like he could have some badger in him. Nice hops ( hurdled a guy that was standing and landed on his feet)

I am happy to see him on board, impressive highlights.

I don't know why we didn't jump up in the rival and scout rankings.

The 6-foot, 174-pound Gage is projected to play cornerback in college.
“This is something I dreamed about and prayed about for a while now,” Gage said. “I knew LSU was where I wanted to go, so I waited for an offer. Once I got it, there was no question.”
Congrats!

I’ve heard from some of you who are bothered by the fact that Gage is “only a three-star prospect,” but I want to remind you that while the star system is nice, it’s far from perfect. (Jacob Hester and Morris Claiborne come to mind.) I might add that Coach Cam Cameron personally recruited Gage, and if he’s good enough for him and Coach Miles, he’s certainly good enough for me

Gage is Raymond's guy. He has been on him since camp.

And Cams in home is what secured the commitment

Seems to me that this board turned around after yesterday's gb tweet thread.
Sounds like it did five years ago.

I loathe this argument, I really do. The above mentioned are outliers, not the standard. Gage could certainly join the group, but everytime we get a 2-3 star commit we get 80 "OMG HESTER!!!!" posts.
