How is any of that confirmed. If it is true… I’d love to see what the contract looks like and what the obligations are. That’s an insane amount of money to throw at a kid. I’m assuming that most of these school do very little if any due diligence on background and character.

You are living under a rock.... $500k is negligible
DUMBEST STATEMENT EVER....

What could ANY ONE OF US DO WITH AN EXTRA $40k a MONTH,
YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF YOUR FAMILY, that's what

You can Fly your friends/family to the game
You are not living in reality, YES 100% the money is out of HAND....

BK, NOTICE WHERE OUR REAL RECRUITING FOCUS IS
QB and OFFENSIVE LINE
(THINK MARTY BALL ON STEROIDS)

You can control the game, with a GREAT QB, and a GREAT OFFENSIVE LINE.....
Mahomes does it with ROLE PLAYERS, it doesn't matter who he is throwing too, he will put it in to WIN IT.....
REID would've been fired, w/o Mahomes, he is a mediocre coach

A GREAT QB MAKES EVERYONE BETTER, PERIOD!!!!!!
Run it like a business (LSU FOOTBALL)
what can you do, to maximize the ROI, QB and OFFENSIVE LINE
Think about it

Everything else you said was good. This however, was complete bullshite. Mahomes took Reid to Super Bowl champ status, but Reid has always been an elite coach. Those Eagles teams he built were crazy, then went over to the Chiefs and made them playoff teams. Do you remember Alex Smith before he got there? Do you remember the Chiefs the prior 6 years before he got there? Mahomes' mechanics had to be reworked before he started. This man didn't have Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Big Ben, or Aaron Rodgers to prop him up.

We need Corey to close out getting Jaboree back into the class and do whatever they need to do for Pickett. The CB class is what is hurting the most right now to me.

Do you see Pickett in the class as of now?

I don't. I hope I'm wrong. Dude is long and has elite balls skills. He is also fast for 6'4 and can brake on the ball.

WRs are produced with 3D printers in Louisiana. We need someone capable of getting them the ball

This year seems to be down at wide receiver.

What's the deal with Phillip Wright? I don't get the sentiment that they slow played him cause even if they got Moore or French they would still need another receiver or two.

Why you keep saying that chalk

I know you follow recruiting. There will be Sr year pushes like there always are, and they will be re-recruiting a lot of thee guys in a year or 2 from other schools. Cause there are a ton of guys with plenty of potential

They ran him out of Philly, you realize this right????

Everyone talks about how GREAT SHAWN PEYTON was.....
Take away Drew Brees and he's been PRETTY MEDIOCRE, and that is a FACT.....

REID is a JOKE, (i live in KC) Biggest Joke ever, take out Mahomes and he'd been fired just LIKE IN PHILLY.....

My guess ( strictly that) was close to 1 mil by Texas. Ducks went to 1.1 or 1.2.
Pure speculation, of course.
And, I’ll posit that Texas isn’t finished.

They'd have to pay more than that since Oregon has a 10% income tax rate at that level

Other than the fact that you seem to be talking to yourself, I don't think anyone has any idea what you're saying.

That what it will take to get the number one WR in the country now

And if that’s what it takes to get the WR, how much more is the QB, LT, edge rusher going to be??

Amazing this post gets 95 up votes lol. First of all, enough money to easily buy his family a house isn’t negligible. Acting like $500k isn’t a lot is insanity. The NFL is no guarantee for anyone no matter where you go to college, I don’t blame anyone for taking all you can get right now.

Second, he obviously believes in himself so he thinks he can develop into an NFL player regardless of where he goes and doesn’t need to depend on the program for that.

Third acting like Oregon is the same old Oregon under Lanning is pretty short sighted of you.

Dont even think this money will go to buying Mom a house…

To Do List:
Diamond Grill
More bling
Lambo
Ho’s

I dont know this kid and he may be the exception but these bag chasers will be broke by the time they get out of school…

but aside from biggest bag upfront what does Oregon truly offer you longterm? If LSU or Texas was offering you say 7-800k to stay close to home, friends, and family Specifically in LSUs case recent success at position in terms of college success, NFL draft position, and NFL success which results in a multimillion dollar guaranteed contract down the road That money difference seems negligible vs investing in the process if you believed in yourself I'd rather be in a position to succeed as an individual, as a team, and develop. I'd want to play with great players everyday in practice and on GameDay, work with coaches who have had great success at putting players like me in the NFL and getting the bigger bag at the end of the process vs taking a few extra hundred thousand upfront that may put me in a worse position 3 years down the road when the NFL and the real life changing NIL deals are being awarded out on draft day If NIL money is all that matters to you to get your signature...I'm glad LSU wasn't his choice Nabers just made himself 29.1 million with 18 million guaranteed Thomas 14.6 million, 7.4 guaranteed

Horrible take. Oregon is a great school that has built themselves a great football program over the past 25 years. They’re always one of the best teams in the country, and I truly believe that they will win their first national championship in the 20’s. They’ve come extremely close twice before and now NIL is allowing them to get all the recruits they need, including elite OL and DL.

About the NFL thing, Oregon has produced plenty of NFL talent. If you can play, NFL scouts will find you. Just look at all the Group of 5 and FCS players who get drafted in the first 3 rounds of the NFL draft every year.
