I’m guessing he don’t have the grades to attend a D1 school.

Being a thorn (or a spear if you will) in their side. Obviously don’t think they’ll hire him for this but he’s trying to stick it to them and show he’s worthy of being taken serious.

Or maybe some of these elite prospects are more open to the idea of going to HBCUs regardless of grades.

Sure wish we could have been on this kid. Deion sold him on living in Jackson

Nah. That can't be it.
Granted, I'm thinking with my white person mind and just assume everyone thinks this way as well.

Deion works for Barstool. Seems like they’re buying him

Yes I'm sure that's it. Teenagers in 2021 are all about honoring the pioneers of black education and not whoring themselves out to the highest bidder.

Yep he probably got a 7 figure NIL deal from Barstool.

It's possible that elite prospects would prefer to not play on TV and go to smaller schools that have worse facilities and smaller stadiums.
That said, we've seen this type of thing happen in the past and it usually isn't because the prospect wanted to go to the smaller school.

yikes, he better soak up all the attention and limelight he is gonna get today for this, because he is going to be irrelevant once he goes there

At least until they see the crappy facilities.

He’s actually not jeopardizing his future.
Devin just won his first Swac championship so he will compete for championships going forward. Also when it comes to the draft we’ve seen a guy like Steve McNair go #3 overall from the SWAC when he was at Alcon state. Also to be coached by the best DB in NFL history has to give you an advantage as you approach the NFL. I hope he does it.

Florida State v. Louisville home attendance 46,530
JSU's home "average" attendance 42,293
I'd also argue that JSU was on TV just as much as if not more than Florida State this season so......try again
