They still do.....I've travelled the southern US pretty extensively and haven't found any that comes close to Middendorf's IMO.

Indeed Barrow's was damn good, still liked Middendorf's better personally. I still get sad sometimes thinking about all the places like Barrows that never came back after Katrina.

I dont get there much anymore, but it does seem the spirit and character of the city are forever changed

Yeah so sad. Grandmaws camp is directly across the Pass from here. She only got 1 inch of water in the front part of the camp. I for sure thought the entire area would have been screwed.

Many of a great memories here in the south pass and what a great place to eat the best catfish, they are great people and this will knock them down for long.
