Isaac is trying to get into BR. The bands are really close. We should ramp way up within an hour or two.

So far so good for Brightside, just one small pocket of apartments w/o power.

Off Bluebonnet between Highland and Perkins. DOA at 0815. Somebody posted on my FB that a huge oak went down at Highland and Bluebonnet? Can't believe any survived Gustav around here. Bluebonnet North of I-10 seems to still be good.

Yeah I was expecting to wake up and have this thing on top of us and we'd be without power. Underestimated how slow its moving. Don't think we'll have class on Thursday now

Highly doubt it. We'll still be getting some tomorrow.

That's why I went to bed at 12:30 and woke up around 7.. then woke up and saw it wasn't bad and went back to sleep until 9. Nothing was happening. There was no point in staying up.

you'd think that because this is moving so slowly, closures for tomorrow would be announced now to better get the word out.

I probably went to sleep before 12, woke up around 7 by a big gust of wind. Looked up and saw we still had power then passed out again. Just woke up again about 15 minutes ago. Can definitely tell its getting worse though

Wind bursts are getting pretty strong. Couple big braches down but the trees are staying upright Power holding on even after I heard a transformer pop.

watching the rotation on radar. We're getting ready to get some serious winds I'm afraid.

That'd be smart, but this is Louisiana. That'd be too easy
