I've had power on 933 pretty much entire time lost it twice yesterday. Once for about an hour and second time a little over 2 hours....

I see on 42 where the guy fixes computers out of his house they have a tree taking out a powerline.... Tree fell on powerline in front of Winn-Dixie on Airline. Lights were out at 42/44 by Bruno's and at different spots along Airline....

Joe Severio was closed off due to that little bridge flooding but I wasn't riding around really. Just needed Ice and went by office see if we were working.

Mother lives on Braud at Tommy Moore.
Giant tree uprooted at street, blew transformer, destroyed light pole where line brought power to house and also ripped line off meter at house.

Needless to say, she won't have power for a while.

Also, sorry to the folks in WoodRun, her tree destroyed one of your transformers.

Really? I thought Gustav hit the parish much much harder than this. At least in my little corner of 621/ 431 are it did.

Power line down with a broken pole on 621 / Rouyea rd still waiting on crew to show up. Website says that line has 1800 customers out of service with a total of 18,000 parish wide. That one line is 10%. I hope it gets attention quick.

Last three storms have brought the same line and transformer down.

Now, that tree can't make it a fourth time. Yes, it should have been cut down by now.

Mother also has another tree down that covers one driveway entrance/exit.

Still no power in Essen Terrace off of Duplessis Rd. Went to Harvest Market earlier and got some ice, canned goods, fresh french bread and steaks.

Drove to Central from the house this morning. Didn't see anything major.
Came back home and about to go cut up the tree top that fell right against one of my AC units. Don't know how it didn't crush it, but it didn't. Guess I'll fix the fence this weekend.

I'm in Essen Terrace too. Any idea the cause of our outage? I drove around a little this morning but didn't see anything down.

My daughter texted me the power was back on about 10:30. She unplugged the fridge and freezer from the generator and back in the wall outlets. Smart girl

73 is open all the way to River rd. Some place with power other places with out. The little shopping center next to Dutchtown High seemed to have power, there were several people at Anytime Fitness.
