TWC guy on Canal was about to blow over while people walking behind him were just going down the street like normal.
Its the clothes they wear for the effect to make the winds look worse. I bet what he is wearing is making it harder to move than regular clothes, so that explains the difference, plus a lack of effort on his part.

Just caught one of those weather guys in Orange Beach faking. They had the camera on him, he was being all still, then they said let's go to "his name" and he starts stumbling around acting like he was about to fly away. And no it wasn't a wind gust. They must watch soccer or the NBA.

Started to pick up pretty good the past 20 minutes with some strong gusts and a lot more rain, but it is still going back and forth between looking like a normal rain storm and a strong rainstorm. Expecting it should start looking tropical within a couple hours.
Isaac just being a tease right now.
I fully expect to lose power hours before we should.

those who haven't been kooks in these threads are welcome to raise a glass with me saturday at walk ons in honor of LSU football and my birthday on labor day. basically, that means only rag
I have not commented much here, but I've been telling people in other forums that this would not be a huge storm. I've seen your stuff, Elleshoe, and you've been making good sense.
This is not going to be a huge deal at all.

It still looks like the more north it heads, the more the north side of the storm is falling apart
just my opinion

Alright, so has anyone said, other than these models that have been all over the place, said anything about slow shift westerly?

prolly safe to say the la tech vs a&m game will be moved
If the eye goes over NE La then Shreveport wont get much other that some moderate rain. The game should not be affected.

Shameless plug on TWC
"I'm here in Gulfport. The rain is coming in horizontally. You can probably hear it hitting my L.L. Bean jacket."
pathetic.

GFS had a pretty good read on the path as early as Saturday when some of these tards said it had no chance of coming to La.
GFS has been okay with this storm but was pretty crappy with it down in the islands. Both the Euro and GFS have been decent with the overall setup and the track issues have been because of subtle differences in how they handled setup and storm intensity.
