no, but when you argue with posters about the intensity of the storm based on dumbass Pat Shingleton's forecast, that's pretty suspect.
just keeping things fair in here. you blast everyone not calling it a afternoon pop up shower for being "kooks". I give you shite in return. seems fair to me.

during Gustav we got cocky with power staying on........until, it went off.

My husband spent his whole week home from offshore either running a combine or driving the trucks to the bins. Think he helped out three different farmers. But his dad used to farm so he know how a storm can mess up your crops.

I just lost power but I was following storm2k pretty closely. They do a good job posting new graphics.

no, I called everyone saying it was doomsday a kook. The people saying OMG! BR is frickED!! Now people who said there would be downed power, hell, I agreed with them. That's why I went and got provisions. But mine is still on in any case...

Jesus there ain't no arguing going on in here...a lot of speculation and people being attacked for their speculations (and this goes both ways and it goes back to the old TS thread)
The beating of a poster into the ground here seems a bit childish and unneeded at this point IMO....especially in this thread.

and what's hilarious is I never made a prognostication except that this wasn't doomsday like some people on here were saying. New Orleans is doing well and it looks like BR will be about what we expected. Some power outages and whatnot...

mailman it's good here so far ... still have elec .. raining off and on and gusty but no idea how high. I'll update as it changes provided we don't lose power -- but even then we'll have generator .. what am I thinking!
alicia, thanks to your husband ... someone's got to grow the food despite people saying that we could buy it from China! We were never so grateful as when we saw a great big combine driving up to the field on that Sunday afternoon in 2008. And when I brought dinner and gave it to that awesome farmer he looked shocked and almost didn't want to take it!

Indeed he is......that bastard is crazy....did he give a shoutout out to LeeCountyTiger....he said LeeCountryTiger but that name was unfamiliar to me
