I was kinda hoping he was at work with power. If he used his phone to start and post in this thread, then he deserves for it to be dead.

Ok. Got a close friend of the family that is working in that group, he never made it sound like it was a big secret. I think the deal is still pending PRC approval, right?

My biggest complaint with Entergy is they always seem to be surprised when a hurricane hits.

Congrats. I understand its miserable, but just wanted you to be patient and know that they were busting arse. shite like this is difficult to prepare for and almost never goes how you "plan". Glad it worked out though.

Like I have said, they dropped the ball with communicating to customers when their power would be back on.

Per their website, for my area (Goodwood and Florida), they are looking to have estimates for how long it will take to restore power by Sunday September 2nd and will have power restored to 90% of customers by Thursday September 6. (I still don't have power)

I understand they are working long hours to resolve the issues, but it's just frustrating to pull out of your driveway only to see everything you drive by have power while you sit in a 90 degree house. Just makes time go by much more slowly.

What pisses me off, is they called me yesterday afternoon with an update saying they had a truck at the scene and have determined some of entergy equipment was having problems and that they had more trucks on their way to the scene to help....Well I'm at the scene and there is no truck here and I waited for around 4hrs and no trucks showed up.
Came back to the "scene" this morning and now it's 1020 and still not the first truck has showed up. I know they are busy but don't lie to your customers.

It's really frustrating driving around uptown and seeing some streets with power and others without.

And not all of them are on a hospital grid or something. There's no rhyme or reason to it.

If you look at the map there really isn't that many people uptown that have power. We rode around last night and there were quite a bit home homes still without power. Just relax, you should get it back today.

I'm still without power, but i don't blame the utility company for the transformer blowing or a tree knocking down a line.

It will come back on and I'm not being charged right now.
Thousands are still without power, so being on generator power for another day won't really affect us.

People need to prepare for the storms better and not find others to Blame.
