I won a honda 220 in a raffle and already have a setup for a tractor. I put it on Craigslist and got nothing but super low ball offers.

It's a $1200 tiller that has never seen dirt. I figured asking 30% less than that was fair. Apparently not to the Craigslist crowd.

I don't have a Facebook. So that doesn't work.

I would not be tempted by 30% off an item if I were shopping Craigslist. People are looking for bargains, unless it's some hard to find item. And by people, I mean me.

Which is why I'm asking where to sell it besides eBay.

Every eBay auction has gone to at least a grand. I was just trying to avoid the headache

No actually.

I was pricing 400 bucks off a new tiller that is 1200 with zero taxes and the same warranty.

Which is 120 less than the cheapest eBay auction in the last two weeks.

The issue, near as I can tell, is people are thinking mantis tiller, not commercial tiller

I was willing to negotiate, but 100 bucks was the highest offer.

Being fb is out, I’d try putting a picture with a small ad on paper and posting it up at local feed stores and nurseries. Alls I got.

FWIW not sure how many people are looking to til right now. maybe just a little early? Like selling a lawnmower with snow on the ground.

I sold tillers at that price range you have a very small group of people willing to buy it.

Tillers sold to residential customers happen usually around the spring planting season March/ April. After that it is an item that sits, and sits, and sits, and sits, and you guess it sits.

At that price range your customer is a serious gardener or landscaper laying sod down. Again a very slim market.
