I can only find new ones online. Where have you gotten your used reel mowers from?

Where do you live? Theres a cali trimmer brand new looking in Laplace but it's been listed for a very long time and is priced a bit high. Someone in Madisonville just sold a rolux S17 and it went quickly. There's a guy in DFW area that buys up greensmowers like JD etc and fixes them up and sells them. That might be your best option. I think he's either on the Bermuda dominators FB or some sort of reel mowing FB page. I can find out if that's what you're looking for. Seems like there aren't many used ones that come up for sale in South LA. His name is Travis Williams on FB and he even ships mowers.

Beard Equpiment (JD) in Mobile, Jerry Pate (Toro) in Pensacola, and Ladds (Jacobsen) in BR will be worth a call. They always have used reel mowers available.
Call around to some golf courses also. I got mine from a local course.

I was able to find that same cali trimmer almost new for $700 a few years ago. At some point I might upgrade to a Toro if I ever find one closer. Here is the guy

There is just not a lot of used ones around here. I got impatient and bout a Honda powered Cal Trimmer from Home Depot last year. It was after I put together one of those Facebook specials rechargeable battery powered Reels that uses a Scott's manual.

Got my JD 220 ecut from usedreelmowers . Shipped it freight from dallas to port allen.

If you want a JD or Toro this is way to go. That or start watching for the Weeks Turf equipment auction. There's one next month. You'll need to go pick up in Georgia or arrange pick up.

Picking up a Toro greensmaster tomorrow. It doesn't run. If I can fix it I will either be selling it or my cali trimmer. We will see.

A little off topic but I have been toying with the idea of one of these. LINK

Was also when I found my cali trimmer. Seems like it's always a progression from manual reel to a greensmower. Got this broken greensmaster running well and cutting. Need to source a few parts for the groomer.

That's too bad. I am on the Northshore and have the whole Reel Mowers setup sitting in my shed. I could never get the chain to stay on long enough to finish my yard and haven't used it since last spring. I don't need it anymore.

If you just need a backlap you can do it yourself pretty easily. YouTube has a ton of videos on how to do it.

Someone posted a John Deere 180 on FB market this AM. Looks like it's in Abita Springs. I'll likely be selling my Toro greensmaster soon after I get it put back together.
