I started a thread about Sunday Lawn Care a while back, I updated the thread but I wanted to post a more thorough review of my experience. I think they are a new company still working through some issues, so maybe it will improve, but it ended up killing all my grass.

The first package didn't really do anything to make my grass grow in and came in about 2 weeks late, the second shipment arrived at my house (late again) and the bag busted open. They sent me out a new one a week later. Then I applied it per the instructions and here are the results:

Grass totally burned, weeds are thriving.

Here is the farthest corner of my front yard where the hose doesn't reach. Grass looks great.

They issued a full refund and suggested I still spray the third pouch on my lawn, then tried to sell me weed killer and seed (I have St. Aug)

Eta: Any tips on saving my lawn??

I will look at the bag when I get home. I know there was iron in it and it was all natural kid friendly and pet friendly

ETA: Website says

quote:

food waste We use leftover grocery produce to create anutrient dense plant food.

molasses A plant derived source of minerals with sugar to activate soil life and build fertility.

urea Urea is a macronutrient powerhouse that’s been used in farming for over 100 years.

iron An essential micronutrient, iron also helps grass develop a rich dark green color.

maine seaweed Seaweed is a powerful plant nutrient that we get from the coast of Maine.

leonardite Found in natural deposits, leonardite is rich in humic acid and complex nutrients. potassium acetate Commonly used in food production, potassium acetate is rich source of the key macronutrient potassium.

surfactant Also called a wetting agent, surfactants act to reduce surface tension and improve water flow through soil.

salicylic acid Used in food and medicine, salicytic acid is part of grasses’ natural defense system and response to stress.

phosphorus Also used in food production, ammonium polyphosphate is rich in phosphorus. (used only if soil test shows deficiency) micronutrients Iron, manganese, zinc, copper, molybdenum, and boron are all needed by turf, but only in small quantities.

potassium Also used in food production, potassium carbonate is rich in potassium. (used only if soil test shows deficiency)

More interested in what they are giving you for weed control. Are there any active ingredients of herbicides?

I looked at their website one time and thought they had mentioned on there that they use no herbicides and the "weed control" comes from making sure the lawn is strong enough to choke out the weeds.

I closed my browser.

Edit:

From their website:
quote:

ingredients we won't use

2,4-D GLYPHOSATE, BIFENTHRIN, MCPP, PENDIMETHALIN, IMIDACLOPRID, TRIFLURALIN, MALATHION

We’re not here to scare you, you can Google these commonly used herbicides and pesticides for that. We just happen to know that healthy grass is incredibly tough, and it’s the best weed and pest control there is.

Looks like it.

I think they send a soil test kit but idk if they take grass type into consideration.

Damn... We used them and could never get the bags to work correctly. After the second treatment or so I called and they fully refunded me. Now Im glad it didn't work

I read up in them and came to the conclusion they don’t use anything to kill weeds just fertilizer to attempt to strengthen your grass. Sorry hard pass.

if my yard was that small I'd have artificial turf.
