where is a good place to get sinker cypress? Preferably pecky sinker cypress? The place I've gone before in Plaquemine is out of business I think. I am wanting to build a epoxy river table with the slabs. I'm not aware any in north Louisiana. I'm willing to drive, just not sure who to work with.

Guy Jeansonne at Jeansonne Millwork in Alexandria can find you one or has one in stock. Lumber Locators in Santa Rosa Beach, FL would be a good one to call because Shane has his sawmill in Simsboro, LA. They cut a ton of beams and I bet he has slabs too.

Lumber Locators sells over 2-3 million BF of cypress a year. I’d call him first.

Acadian in Ponchatoula like someone noted above would be a good one, but they are going to buy something like that from Lumber Locators most of the time. I’ve been in the hardwood lumber business for 35 years. If you can’t find it let me know. The ones I have are something exotic from Africa.

Brandon at Omega Millworks in Ruston can find you one too.

I'll throw out Jones $ Jones on Hwy. 1 in Batchelor, La.

Their phone number is 318-359-8061. Opens around 8 and closes at 4 M-F.

I've dealt with them several times over the years and they are good people to deal with.

There's a guy in Walker, LA off Pendarvis Road that sells it. He has a mill somewhere else but usually stays stocked with plenty to choose from. Find him on Facebook Marketplace. I've bought from him several times and his prices were always fair and he is a good fella.
