quick connect for garden hose - yea or nay?

What do yall think about a garden hose quick connect for an outdoor spigot? I'd want one to swap between my sprinklers, car wash sprayer, electric pressure washer, and gardening plant sprayer?
Anyone with experience that could share would be helpful. I'm just tired of swapping between mostly the sprinkler and gardening hose. Yard has way too many big trees/roots for me to want to get a sprinkler system going, so I'd rather stick with the sprinkler attachments to my gardening hose while also being able to swap to my gardening sprayer for my potted and hanging plants.

amazon solid brass quick connects ftw. Should last forever, just lube up the o rings every few years.

Though I don’t have these, yet, I bet these hose quick connects from Eley are first class - everything else they sell is top notch quality built to last and is as good as advertised.

In fact I might just order a set.

Yes, have them on all my bibs, hose ends, nozzles, and sprinklers
Makes things much easier when switching back and forth between jobs and attachments all the time. I have the cheap ones from Home Depot that are getting the job done, but I may upgrade soon to some better brass ones.

Just ordered the 5 pack set for $25. Arriving Thursday since I'm a sucker for the free digital credits and I don't mind waiting two more days for a free $1.50.

Yes, for $50 you can get a full set of solid brass everything from Amazon. Everything I own has quick connects on it.

I do all the gardening and bought a solid brass one at Lowe’s and asked my Husband to put on our hose for my sprinkler. He thought it was a great invention ;)

curious as to the purpose? switching hoses from one location to another?
we just have separate hoses at ea hose bibb. to much hassle for wife to drag them around.

same here.
I'm not moving hoses around.
I have a hose at each spigot. Now putting this quick connect on the end of the hose would be a lot more practical for me.

As mentioned I want to swap it for different things that I need. I wash my almost every weekend which requires a spray foam nozzle, I wash my potted plants and certain parts of my yard with a multi-pattern nozzle, and I use a sprinkler attachment to water most of my yard. Having to turn off/on and unscrewing the hose from every attachment is a nuisance. The $25 I'm spending is going to be a huge quality of life improvement and time saver.

I’m about two years in on the Eley quick connects. Work great. No leaks. Pricey, but worth it compared to the others I had.

If you get something like this I highly suggest adding a shutoff valve at the attachment end before the quick connect so you don't have to walk all the way to the faucet and turn water off before making the swap.

i have female QC's on every hose bib. i don't have hoses at each hose bib, it's useless to have one at my front hose bibs that are only used once or twice a year or where i can reach the hose bib from either of the adjacent ones. For the odd times i need to connect a hose to those, i have one on a cart. I also have locations with hot adn cold hose bibs, i can quickly interchange between the two instead of screwing and dealing with leaks.
on the hose ends, i have a shut off valve (like below) and female QC so i can isolate the end if i need to change attachments like spray gun or watering or to connect a hose to extent to one of the far corners of my property.
It's much more about convenience than anything else. I don't have to grab two sets of channel locks to make solid attachments. plus the quick connects are free to rotate so it makes it easier than trying to deal with a hose that wants to twist and kink while trying to use an end in a certain way.

Parts came in and I got 3 nozzles and 2 sprinkles hooked up, 2 spigots with the quarter turn shut off and 1 spigot with just the quick connect female end. All connections wrapped with thread sealing tape (took my time and it came out clean).
Really awesome stuff. Another fun perk I wasn't expecting was that I basically have a full 360 degree swivel for these attachments now.
