How thick should concrete be in a shop? I will be parking a tractor in there occasionally and would like to be able to park my truck in there if I need to f250

4 inches, except areas that will support the framing of said structure.

my wife always says thickness doesn't matter

I hope thickness matters cause length isn’t my strong suit

You can do 4" and increase the psi to like 4000 or 4500. that should do fine and be less costly than pouring some 6" sections of concrete

I did 4" concrete but added the fiber on my shop and I also added a 8'x20' wire panel on the roll up doors because those areas get the most vehicle traffic.

Make sure you put a vapor barrier under it

6" if plan to put a lift on it later. If a glorified storage unit, 4".

Prevents moisture from wicking through the concrete. You want this.

What’s a vapor barrier?
Heavy duty plastic sheeting between the soil and concrete. Get the soil leveled, add the heavy duty plastic then put on top of that whatever reinforcing you will use in the slab and then pour.
The plastic prevents moisture from coming up through the slab and making the environment a bit more humid.

4” thick 3,500psi would easily be sufficient for the surface… of course you’ll need adequate footings. If you plan to put a lift in for future use add some pad footings where needed.
