As the title says, can you all provide me with a couple of reliable companies to install a backyard pool? I'm not looking for anything out of the ordinary.
Thanks in advance.
I have no preference of Chlorine v. Saltwater.

Danny Ulfers 985-626-9939 completed my pool reno and after having multiple pool installers provide quotes, he is definitely the most knowledgeable pool person I had out. While he didn't build my pool, he replaced everything but the pool shell (deck, plumbing, plaster, all equipment, etc.) and I'm glad I used him.
I would recommend having as many installers out as you can to provide quotes then contact him and ask questions about whatever major concerns you have. You'll learn a lot by having the other pool installers out and will figure out what concerns you have.
Also, once you narrow down your pool builders, ask to see multiple pools they've done and talk with those homeowners if you can. You'll get a great idea as to who you are dealing with. Several pools we saw from other contractors had splotchy plaster jobs after just a few years or nice stone decking that was improperly laid with large gaps and uneven joints and these were the ones being "shown off."

He built the pool at my current house few years ago before I moved here. It’s a beautiful job. And he’s helped me with some issues and equipment problems I had that I accidentally created for myself.
I’d also recommend Sean Faulk (Pontchartrain Pools) depending where you live on the Northshore. He only does like 2-3 pools max at any one time in different phases of the build. He's usually pretty booked up but would be worth a try. Very thorough and pretty much on site everyday. He consulted and designed and built my pool for me at my previous house.
I’ve also heard good things about Paradise Pools (Earl).

Greg’s Pools & Spas
Especially if you’re into Lagoon style. I’ve seen several of his pools and they’re damn nice.

NOLA Scapes - Jonathan
He's mostly southshore, but he might venture over there a few times a year.

Greg's pools may look nice but that's who built my original pool along with several of my neighbors' pools that also have a hose in them 24/7 due to constant leaks. His substandard work is the reason why I had so many leaks and needed to re-plumb my pool. The plumbing for a pool should last approx 100 years, basically a lifetime if done correctly. However, Greg used a flexible PVC that is not supposed to be burried underground, it can be damaged by chlorine and is susceptible to being eaten by termites - not exactly what you want used for pool plumbing.
I called Greg when looking to renovate my pool and asked him for a quote (my neighbors told me who built the pool). I really just wanted him to look at the mess he caused as I had no recourse against him. He told me the pool was 30 years old and I'm due for another one. I told him I've been battling leaks for 15 years and that seemed to go in one ear and out the other, he didn't seem to give a shite. Then he gave me a quote to remove and replace the entire pool. He told me he still uses the flexible PVC pipe, BTW.
Because of all the leaks and issues with my pool, Greg inadvertently introduced me to Danny

Crystal Pools/NOLA Pools. Kevin and his dad Jeff are top notch. They did my pool in Houma 8 years ago. Kevin lives on northshore so I'm sure they do work up there as well.

They did my pool 6 years ago and I'm still happy with it. They've been out a few times to replace LED lights that were under warranty.
Fiberglass + saltwater = a very easy to maintain pool
