Any replaced their water heater recently? Any company recommendations in or around BR? Not looking to get the insta ones, just regular tank. Also what costs am I looking at?

Hot water heater or just a water heater?
Posted on 9/1/19 at 12:59 pm to Amblin
~$350 for the install, some multiplier of $350 for the tank itself.
Tanks in advance?

Do it yourself and it will cost you about 400 bucks.
If you want to pay somebody, it will probably cost you about 2fiddy for the labor.
I just changed mine out the other day The water heater was 379 bucks at home depot.

Put it in yourself. It is not very difficult. Especially if it is electric. Will cost $300 or so to have it done. Spend an hour and do it yourself. Take Mama out to dinner with the savings. Bonus at bedtime. See how this works?

The break even point for a conversion from tank to tankless is 15 years.....at which point the new unit will reach the end of its life. In other words it doesn’t make financial sense to do it.

While break even points vary greatly, in general, if you don't run out of how water with a tank then stick with a tank.
The #1 by far and away is the advantage of not running out of hot water. Though I think many baws would say the #1 perk is being able to tell people how great their high-dollar tankless hot water heater works and how they never would go back to a tank and tankless is amazing and everyone should get one.

Not being a smart arse but it may be worth it not to worry about the tank busting. I bought a house with the water heater in the ceiling. I need to remedy that situation and a tankless seems best

Yes Lowes or Home Depot...
You basically pay for the warranty.. The more years on the warranty the more expensive...
Put that shite in yourself... I's easy...

If the supply pipe, or outlet break, you have the same results as a busted tank, because water will still be pouring out all over.
By the time you see the leak and turn off the water, the damage is done.
Get that crap out of your ceiling.
I suppose that you have the PEX system plumbing? I know that it is supposed to shut the supply down, in case of a break, I just have trouble trusting something like that. Would rather not have plumbing in my ceiling.

Bruh this is the OT. Finances doesn’t come into play. You have endless hot water going tankless.

My two tankless hot water heaters are on the outside. No worry about a tank leaking or bursting inside.

My tank type is in the garage. The old one that I replaced was probably 40 years old. The job took me less than an hour.

And true as I recall.
She got much nicer as she has aged, like fine Parmesan queso.
