Need suggestions on terminating fence weeds with extreme prejudice, baws

I've had it with these fence weeds. I've tried a weed eater, edger, hand saw, and Round Up. No matter what I try, they spring right back up before I can keep them in check again. What's the most efficient tool to keep them at bay? I'm thinking of getting some kind of hedge trimmer, but some of the stalks can get a bit thick.
Short of that, I'm considering bordering the fence with a weed barrier and gravel--kind of like a baseball warning track--as a long-term solution. One of the issues is that segments of the fence hold water, which is why the weeds can get so robust. Thinking the gravel may help with that aspect as well.

That fence needs Crossbow herbicide. You won’t have to deal with it again until spring.

Use diesel and mix 8oz per gallon it will kill everything
I will smell for about 3 days so I wouldn't do if your having a party
I do the same thing in the ditch on our camp, but I generally wait till he are going to have a rain and the water will hold level and make a kill line.

RM-18 from Tractor supply oil you want to kill the weeds….RM-43 if you want nothing else to grow there.

Killzall is the best IMO.....takes a month, but it kills everything, for a long period of time....

cutting that shite does nothing. You either need to pull everything out by the root or spray with herbicide. If it was me I’d pull the pickets off and uproot everything, then spray, then put the pickets back.
If you do take the pickets off, cut an inch or two off the bottom so you can then run your string trimmer under the boards to keep this from happening again

At this point, I would almost love to get rid of that fence. I'm not sure if it's ours or our neighbors though.

looks like it has alternating pickets, both sides. You could pop the ones off on your side pretty easily and straighten up the framing. No offense but it looks like shite even without the weeds

When you say "Roundup" , what are you referring to exactly? Glyphosate should kill that easily. Will have to reapply every now and then.

You could get a small bottle of arsenal (imazapyr). Spray the ground. It will not come back.

I have a gravel drive that laughs at this statement no matter the herbicide/kill method.
Round up (both versions)...Imazapyr...RM-43...Spectracide Weed and Grass Killer...Salt...Fire. Hell...combinations of these as well.
I've tried a lot of things and something green will be sprouting back up within 2 weeks.
