Need input on a pool cleaner

I think i'm about done with my Kreepy Krauly Legend. This POS is just too hard to keep running. I have a boost pump in place, so i could go back to a pump run one or am considering an electric. Anyone have any recommendations? Other than typical cleaning, i do get a lot of leafs in the fall. I wouldn't mind something that can scrub the water line and tile.

That one seems to be the favorite among reviewers. Do you have one and you like it?

Yes, I have had one for at least 2 years. I had an Aquabot prior to this and the Dolphin outperforms. It’s not cheap but it works great and I have no regrets.

Agreed. Buy a Dolphin. End of discussion.

Appreciate the input guys. That’s what I was leaning towards but I think this put me over the top.

If you have a pressure side valve, I'd go with a Polaris Quattro. No electronics to worry about, and it uses 0 additional electricity.

Dolphin is going down the drain. Lots of supply issues on parts. They took their foot off the gas as a company.
As mentioned above Quattro is a top tier option for pools with booster pumps.

I have read the great reviews the Dolphin gets on here, but my pool is 7 years old and the Kreepy Krauly is still going strong. I replaced the booster pump last year but other than that I have had zero issues. It runs every day for an hour and the pool is always clean.
If/when this one dies, I am going to get another one. My brother has a Dolphin and he hates it. His installer did not include a booster pump on his setup, so he is stuck with it.

I stopped buying cord-powered robots. Too much of a pain in the arse to keep the cord from being twisted. However, my AIPER gets stuck on my drain. My neighbors purchased a Polaris that does not get stuck on vents. Not sure the model, but it's likely what I'm buying when the AIPER dies.
I just found this vent clip-on which is supposed to help, but I have not tried it yet.

I had a Polaris with booster pump for years. I never liked it. booster pump crapped out. I did not replace the pump. Capped those lines and went with the Nautilus Dolphin CC Plus electric and love it.
Also, around the time the booster pump was failing, we were constructing outdoor kitchen space. The polaris tail would always spray salt water all over the house windows and did not want the kitchen area getting sprayed too. those scrubby foam things never stayed on the polaris tail. the collection bag would always get holes in it, The Dolphin cleans much better.

If you have the plumbing, just get a Polaris 280. They last 20 years with a little maintenance. I have a 25 year old 360 and replace maybe 1-2 things per year not counting bags and hoses.

Im a lazy pool owner. I had Polaris 280, then booster pump went out and I just bought a Dolphin robot. I hate that damn thing. It doesnt clean any better, theres a damn cord everywhere across my pool deck all the times. And I despise taking it in and out all the time.
I loved having my pressure side cleaner set on a timer to run an hour every day. Pool always immaculate with minimal effort from me. With the robot im constantly putting it in and out, constantly having to turning it on during busy season (because it only runs a few days cycle before turning off) and my god it misses the same dirt 100 times before it finally gets it.
I will say the robot picks up the fines better than the Polaris 280 did, but I suspect the Polaris Quattro will at least do the same as the robot, if not better. It appears to be the same thing as a robot, just pressure powered instead of electric.
