They are painting my back patio. The walls are white and the ceiling is blue. Should I paint the door white or blue?

Pictures would help. White is the safe answer

I want to paint it black.......

Depends. Do you want the door to add some contrast to the overall look, or blend in to the walls.

This is the only pic I have to show the two colors.

I am leaning blue.

That’s like a gray blue. Go blue. If you hate it, you can repaint the door in an hour. It’ll add contrast

No. Back door going out to the patio and pool. I think the blue will look better with the pool.

No. What color is your front door?

Oh, sorry. Right now it is stained french doors, but I am going to paint it soon. That is the next project.

Definitely go blue. Doors usually don't match the walls. They either have a different sheen of the same color, or are a different color altogether. When we had our deck built last fall, the outside walls outside my office space, we had them match the wood siding, which is a lighter brown shade, but the doors are a cream color. My wife would be able to tell you the specific color and sheen from Sherwin-Williams we used, but it is cream. Gives it enough contrast.

We decided to do the blue. Thanks all.

No, sorry. The house was built 1996 so I am not sure it is even around anymore.
