Anybody know of any lumber hoarders in the BR area that may have a few ?

Its a bitch matching any new stuff, Hardie, to the old 12 inch stuff.

The pieces, have 3, 4 inch curved, cove "laps" in each board.

I have called around.....

My carpenter found some matching masonite at Lowes several years ago when we were remodeling my sister's house. It wasn't that style, but may want to check them out.

Good luck with that, Masonite board hasnt been produced in 21 or 22 years. Best bet is modify Hardi which is a better board anyway :)

Yea, its shite but it matches.
I have not seen any Hardie, that has the curved "cove" edges.

What I have lasted 24 years...... only a few sections around window trim are bad.

A flat/smooth or textured Hardie aint gonna look to good.

Give Holmes a call. I know they have or should be able to get something similar. It's not the same masonite, but it's a comparable replacement.

Marvin's in AL and MS may still have it. They did a few years ago. They had it with double 6" reveal and triple 4" reveal.

Buy some wood drop siding and run it through a restoration tool with a wire brush. Or pull it from another section. I pull it off old houses all the time but I sell it faster than I can get it.
