Anyone know what it would cost for three screens to be put it. Have about 30 ft in width total and about 10 ft in height. Screens would be 10x10 each approximately. Looking for prices if anyone has dealt with this recently.
Was quoted out of Denham Springs about 17k.

I got prices on plantation shutters for inside and hurricane shutters and he was 4K over on the hurricane shutters alone. Thinking I could find them for less somewhere else. Just trying to see if anyone has gotten them recently from around my area and what was the price.

I’eve never dealt with them. Guessing there’s a little electrical work and if the screen mechanisms have a a good warranty, the price might be fair. It’s a niche market so doubt you’ll be able to get more than 2 numbers, but maybe call some landscape guys or patio builders to get some more contacts. Let us know how it goes.

No idea on price but a friend down the street from me deals with them.

I got mine from NuCode. But pretty much all shutter people do them now.
I love mine, happy I got in before the prices went crazy.

Doesn't seem too out of line. My parents had one done with 4 screens and I think it as around 13k before prices went sky high. Guy was from Roseland or something though.

Expensive in Denham, in Thibodaux, in Baton Rouge, west of the Mississippi, south of the equator, etc.
I’ve done a shite ton of research on them. They all come from about 2-3 suppliers and then resold. So it probably doesn’t matter where you’re pricing them, they’ll be priced similarly unless you find somebody doing cheap installs. The main supplier (the one that seems to be the best quality) is some Japanese company that probably has a patent because I can’t even find the individual parts to try to DIY it. The edges of the screen are like a zipper that slides in a track to keep it tight. They all seem built similarly
ETA: with the price you quoted, I’m assuming you’re talking about the ones that seal up the whole patio to keep bugs out

Is there a way to buy them direct and DIY?

Not that I’ve found. Most, if not all, of the contractors webpages will have a logo or state the brand they use. If you can find that, you can go to the suppliers page and look around. Just a warning, I got no where and wasted a good 3-4 hours down that rabbit hole…twice. Lol. I was watching YouTube DIY videos about coding, microcontrollers & stepper motors @2am, thinking “shiiiid, I got this” lol
Down the hole you go
This is what I found when looking at manufacturer pages. “Locate a dealer”

When I forced myself to stop, i was looking at a guided screen and then trying to build the housing/tracks that guide it. There were just to many things that I could screw up with DIY motorized. A guided one, with tracks housing it all was the direction I was heading. I know you’re asking about buying it all built and then just DIYing the install. Just FYI

Is it not as simple as buying an motorized roller and attaching a screen? I really have no idea. Just thinking because I did alot of research on a roller for a golf impact screen and there is an option to buy a heavy duty motorized roller.

The “sealed up” part is the problem. It’s a special screen in special tracks. If you’re not worried about mosquitoes getting in, what you’re talking about is the way to go. Look at that “locate a dealer” link I posted. It’ll show that zipper technology I’m talking about

I really couldn’t give a shite about the motorized part. Just more shite to break. It’s the sealed part I’m looking for

Ahh didnt realize that was the type he was looking for.

I just got a huge impact screen. Got it with grommets. Kinda regretting not getting one I could attach to the motorized roller like you’re talking about. Came across one in the rabbit hole

I have one with grommets that I did attach to a roller. Its not motorized however and because of the grommets and finished edges is tough to get to roll up evenly. Probably would have been better off using the raw material.

You probably just saved me some money & at least 3-4 hours

people I know had these installed ~FEB 21, Approx 24' by 8' and it was ~5700, in the Shreveport area.
17K seems excessive.
