The one with the very least amount of electronic goodies attached to it. LCD touch screen that WILL go out is $400+ just for the part

Whatever you do no LG or Samsung. My LG fridge has been dead 3 weeks now and no end in sight for repair/replace. I have to go through their hoops to get money back via the warranty to get a new fridge.

The one I had before the LG that died was a samsung and the repairman said they couldn't fix it and they see samsungs die all the time.

once the hoops are met I'm looking at Whirlpool personally.

I would vote for GE. The other two are just budget brands of of the same manufacturer.

Edit: man I offered my opinion on washers and dryers. Reading comprehension was never my best subject.

Have a basic whirlpool french door fridge. Ice mater stopped working after a couple of years. After reading online it seems like a fairly common problem. Ended up getting a replacement from some 3rd party website. Works well enough but the bar is in a different location so it doesn't stop automatically.

We have a GE with the same problem. Had the icemaker fixed/replaces no less than three times. Now I just buy a couple bags of ice every few days, keep an extra in the freezer and never run out.

Who knew you could buy Sonic and McDonald's ice?

You can get a small ice maker and make your own sonic ice. They are like 2' tall by 1' wide. You can fit them practically anywhere.

I'd buy that and have a fridge w/out an icemaker moving forward.

GE and frigidaire are noisy as hell

stick with whirlpool not for high quality, but because they arent as cheaply made and noisy as the other brands

samsung has the quietest and best quality but they are pricey and still have issues just like the other brands because other ten the compressors used, they all use mostly use the exact same parts and controls made in china

Not an easy recommendation to make as there is so much variance between models of the same manufacturer.

For example GE has rebranded Haier stuff at the low end which is garbage their Profile series at the other end which is legit.

I only hear my Whirlpool fridge when it is dropping the ice from the icemaker and allowing water to dispense to make new cubes. Other than that, I never hear it.

Whatever you do, buy from Costco because you get like 4 years warranty.

So far I'm loving the LG dishwasher I got from Costco. Only paid $450 after they gave me an allowance because they didn't have anyone in my area to do the free installation and I actually enjoyed putting it in myself because I know I did it right.

Love the overnight dry feature on the LG. It runs the fan off and on all night and when you open it the next morning everything is dry.

It's a base model of the LG but it still has smart features which I don't give a damn about like downloading new wash cycles.

I hear the LG fridges and w/ds are crap though.
