Maybe I don't know one of those. Are you looking for a mechanic that is "old school" or a mechanic that works on "old" (20+ isn't that old in my opinion) vehicles?

Any mechanic would love to work on 20+ year old vehicles because they are a whole lot simpler than modern day vehicles are.

AGCO does have a lot of work and if you're not in a hurry, they are definitely worth the wait. Also, when it's cooler, go to a local car show and ask around for shops with experience working on older cars. Some of guys are grumpy and aren't helpful, but you will find some folks with good info.

You're getting crushed but you're not wrong. Not sure I'd say "most" but many vehicles that are on their 3rd owner are cobbled together Scotchloks and Autozone parts. The car has seen one too many trips to the parts store to get the "codes read". Parts store likes to sell parts so they recommend replacing stuff. Might even be the right part. But usually people just start shotgunning chinese parts from the parts store until they fix it, ignore the CEL or have to take it somewhere. Problem is now they have taken off possibly good quality OEM parts and thrown them away and replaced them with junk. So there used to be one problem and now there's multiple. Don't get me started on the electrical clusterfuk from adding remote starts and shite.

But I'd still rather work on a 20yo well maintained (non-salted) vehicle than a 1 year old plastic ipad with wheels.

eta, to actually answer the OP, Agco if he doesn't mind a bit of wait and his car isn't too far modified from stock. You cannot go wrong.
