We are about 5 weeks out from finishing up on our new house. I have a 600 sqft screened in outdoor kitchen that I want to put one large fan. What brands and models to y’all recommended. I don’t want to spend money on something that’s only going to last a couple years

The really good ones cost lots. How much are you willing to spend?

We have two of these MinkaAire's on our patio. They have only been up about 7 months so I can't vouch for the longevity of them.

I had the craft made windswept 78” and it broke after 2 weeks. The dealer couldn’t replace bc model is discontinued. I asked a huge local brick and mortar lighting and fan store here in Slidell about the minka and she said she could order it but their warranty wasn’t good. She recommended the quorum proxima 72”. It moves the same cfm as the minka but has a better warranty and customer service. Now I’m not naive and realize she may have a financial stake in quorum but she backed the product and it was the same price so I went with it.

I went with the 65" Minka Aire Xtreme H2O based on recs from previous threads and have been very happy. It looks like they make them as large as 84" if you have the room.

I have to room. I was hoping to keep the price under $750. I just wanted something that’s going to move a lot of air, especially with our heat and humidity during the summer.

I am finishing up a 720ft covered patio. Ordering 3 of the Minka Aire H20s for it based off of neighbor recs.

Putting one close to the stove will mess with the flame on the stove if using a gas range, especially if simmering something on a low fire.

Just a heads up and food for thought as to where to mount the fan.

After waiting 5 months for shipment, I got a 96 inch Tropos Liberator. Supposed to throw around most air. Who needs fan with 40-50 degree nights, but we like it. Ordered extra 7 ft pole for my 16 ft ceiling on patio.

Any reason for one large fan instead of 2-3 smaller ones? Might sacrifice some in air movement but more economical, especially if one breaks, you only have to replace one. Not to mention bring able to run fans in “zones” if cooking. Another aspect to consider if your lighting. Can lights in the ceiling? A big arse fan below those lights would create an annoying strobe light effect, imho.

Just the way the layout is I think one big one would work. We have a big farmhouse swing going up so we have a corner fan for that. My lights are about 52 inches from the fan mounting plate. I also like the look of them.
