Want to kill EVERYTHING and then re-sod w/ St. Augustine. What should I spray on my "lawn" to nuke the whole thing before I re-sod? I sprayed atrazine last week and I swear it didn't do a thing.

If you really want to kill everything, Round Up.

Round-Up, two weeks later round-up again. One weeks later till about 3-4 inches deep and then level. Lay your sod.

Round Up. Make sure it only has "glyphosate" in it.

Atrazine doesn't kill centipede. Be careful spraying things you aren't sure about if you are going to be laying sod.

Quick question regarding Atrazine.

Is the dry time typically 2-4 hours before you can let pets out?

Depends on sun, humidity, wind. A stagnant cloudy day with high humidity and it will take that long. Full sun with a breeze it will be dry in 30-45 minutes.

glyphosate is the safest but everything you are killing needs to be green and actively growing for it to work. It won't kill struggling or dormant plants.
