If I put a swing on this stand will it be sturdy enough for my son to swing on?

Swing? The base is not nearly wide enough to support “swinging”. It’s made to support fairly static down force.

It will tip if the CoG of the swing/kid goes outside the edge of the base. 27” wide is pretty narrow.

By swing I really mean a foot at most. I’m trying to keep this pg. My whole story is just a cover for what I’m really needing it for.

Are you going to suspend a small Asian woman to beat on after a hard day? That’s what I would do.

Your son weighs 115 lbs and he is wanting an inside swing? Is that a thing now with middle schoolers?

no, if your wife/gf uses it for a sex swing you will both be in the hospital trying to explain your injuries.

as stated above, that isnt going to support anything other ten direct downward weight with zero side motion or it will fail dramatically

Just attach your sex swing to the ceiling joist like all the normal people do

Not sure if this belongs in this forum or the OT. Could argue for either. It has potential to be an interesting OT thread.
Either way, keep us updated on how things work out.

Also, need pics of your 115 lb "son"

They just get deleted there, that’s why I have to change what I need it for and post somewhere else.

That’s all I needed to know. I wasn’t literally wanting to swing, but rather short thrusting motions.

You realize 84” is 7 foot tall right? That’s meant for a hammock chair. I don’t see how it could be used for anything else as it’s not tall enough or wide enough to do much else but support a chair just sitting there.

Will it hold 115 lbs in the air about mid waist on a 5’9 guy? Weight held would only move forward and backward about a foot both ways at most.
