How often should I rotate home pesticides?

I DIY my home pest control. I’ve been using Demon WP quarterly for about the last 18 months. I’ve read that bugs will eventually build resistance to a pesticide if it’s used too long. So, how long should I continue with what I’m using, and what do you recommend I rotate to when it’s time?

I rotate Bifen and Talstar every 3-4 mos along with adding Nygard IGR each time. So far so good!

Isn’t rotating Bifen and Talstar like rotating ibuprofen and Advil? Same shite, one is name brand?

I rotate between Suspend SC and Talstar for home use. I hit the foundation, weep holes, windows, doors, and soffits. Often thought about adding Demon WP into the mix when I want to specifically target wasps in my picket fences but Suspend does a good enough job for now.
My suggestion is add Suspend SC to your rotation.

Bifenthrin is the active ingredient and talstar is the brand name. You aren’t rotating anything.

Demon is great, but I switched to Demand CS because Demon leaves a bit of a residue and my house has darker trim. I rotate Demand CS (lambda-Cyhalothrin) and Duraflex (Bifen with Novaluron and Pyriproxyfen).
