We are working on upgrading our outdoor furniture. Finished up some couches for our patio area yesterday with the help of my BIL. Next step will be a new coffee table for out there.

Can you post a picture of the back of the barn door? I'm working on plans for one in my house...

Cool saw. You gonna have a couple beers one night and test the stop feature?

Jealous. Those are suppose to be great saws.

Now that you have the saw, what blades will you be using?

I have a combination that is wonderful. I think it a Forrest woodworker 2 but I really can’t remember

Also have a plywood blade and a good dado.

Haha. I hope to never test the safety feature.

Right now I have a Diablo rip blade and also a diablo cross cut (80 tooth I think) and they both work well enough. Although I would like a better rip blade. The woodworker 2 seems to be the most popular but i always thought of combo blades as “good at both things but not great at either” but that might just be because I haven’t tried one.

Got a table saw. I’ve been making bahama shutters with just a miter box and a hand saw. Those days are over.

I took the woodworking bait......hook, line, and sinker. I don’t know why grown men have any other hobbies. This is highly addictive. I’ll post pics of the the shutters when I’ve completed the project.

I’m so pumped to make 45° cuts!

That's not a table saw, but congrats on the new hobby.

Very nice! I actually have a new Grizzly 1023 being delivered tomorrow. Looked hard at SawStop but ended up going with the Grizzly for the price.

FWIW, my dad has a SawStop saw in his shop. He loves it.

Just FYI, be sure to remove any staples from the wood where they stapled a tag on the end of the board. He forgot to remove one and it tripped the blade brake. Said it scared the crap out of him.

Acquiring new tools is a fun part of this hobby, for sure. Congrats on the new miter saw

Flip those C clamps over and you can leave it clamped without blocking your work surface.

I looked hard at the grizzly, and it seems like a great saw but I had a bad experience with grizzly that I can’t seem to forget. Plus my hands are my livelihood so I chose the saw stop primarily for the safety feature.
