These things are driving me crazy. They are just flying around us in all the rooms of our home. Been here a year and have not had them before. I have 3 of the Zevo lights. One near each entrance but they are not getting them all.

Pest control people say there is no way to spray for them different than what they are doing. Would love to get rid of those bastards.

Apple cider vinegar with a couple drops of dish soap in small bowls in a few places will get them.

I will try them. Thanks. I have 3 if these and they catch them too. Just don’t know how they are getting in.

And its always good to check Amazons math on things like this. I see this all the time

1 = $11.49
5 = $59.99

The only thing that we have done recently that I can think of that brought them to us is we have added a bunch (10) of bit potted plants around our pool out back. Im not sure that that is where they are coming from. I do have one meyer lemon but most are palms and others. I have some inside as well. I am wondering if I need to put something in the plants to combat them. I am fairly new to having lots of planters around

If you have a fire place make sure the flute is closed. Other than that I’d check around doors, windows, bathroom vent, and sink drains.

99% probability that you have either got bananas sitting out on the counter or a bunch of potted plants in your house. To fix them, put fruit in the fridge as soon as it is ripe. Spray Bengal roach spray in the potted plants. Gnats and fruit flies have a very short lifespan, so you should see them disappear within a day or so.

No fruit sitting around. The only thing that we have sitting out ever is limes at times. I do however have a bunch of potted plants. I have ordered some bug stuff to put on and in the pots. Hopefully get it soon.

I also have a bunch on my lanai and they could be coming from there. I am going to treat them as well.

I checked all my outside windows and sprayed around them. I only have a couple doors and they could be coming in my slider as we use it a lot going out to the pool area. Could just be a constant fight for me here in Florida

No fireplace.

Not if you don't get rid of whatever is causing them to reproduce. Spraying around doors and windows is useless. The fly larvae is already in your house. They aren't coming from outside. All it takes is one and then they will multiply faster than you can kill them. There's something in your house causing this. Access moisture somewhere, bag of onions, fruit, old drains that need to be cleaned, potted plants etc

I got you and I am thinking potted plants right now. No old food or fruit around. Pretty new home. We keep most of our food in the pantry and that is one area that we are not seeing them.

The drain is a interesting thing. Should I pour something down the drains? The kitchen sink has a disposal. My wife complains about the smell often

Pour boiling hot water down them and see what happens. It's got to be somewhere in the kitchen area. One night just observe areas and see where most of them are coming from. They have to land on something that is attracting them eventually

If your grocery store has them around their produce, those things will come home with you. Once they're in, they'll find anything possible to reproduce. Make sure all your trash cans are covered, sink drains clean, produce kept in fridge or outside, clean your cabinets around your stove to make sure there isn't any grease buildup, etc. They're the worst...good luck.

I put a couple of cut up lemons along with a bunch of ice cubes in mine every now and then, seems to keep the smell at bay.

Spray some raid or something down your kitchen drains. Let sit for awhile.

If they won’t stay out of your face, cut a hole in your britches.

But, Seriously, pour something deadly down your sink drains.

Run disposal with water. Pour in Dawn and turn off water. You should see foam building and come up drain on second sink. Turn off disposal and let sit. Run a few cubes of ice through disposal a few times a week to clean.

Do soap a few times a week. They live where drain meets sink.

Throw your garbage out and potted plants belong outside…except for African Violets

Do you have house plants or recently potted a house plant? Fungus gnats live in potting soil bags and look similar to fruit flies.

100%. Same with us. We had some friends move out of state and they gifted us with multiple plants and my wife loves indoor plants so I guarantee this is where they came from.
