we couldn’t build a 90° angle in one corner due to it being next to my driveway—-per the code.
About to have fence built with similar “issue.”
Am I over thinking your statement? So you are not allowed to have a corner?? What was the solution, a curved corner near the driveway.
I’m hoping you may have just mistyped, this sounds crazy.

serious, they showed up at 7am on the dot. We did the walk through for like 10 minutes, they packed up the truck at 12:30
Everyone is shocked by the price and time... is there something being missed?

Pretty sure I’ve shared everything. Maybe this is just a great and fair company

If it is on private property it shouldn’t require “permission” from the government to build it.
I agree but Jefferson Parish does not and if you don't pay the fine, they will begin adding $300/day and put a lien on your property. There was 1 guy who took them to court and some arbitration occurred but he was out tens of thousands of dollars by the end.

We had to cut a 45° angle instead, to make sure you have a line of sight to see people approaching on the sidewalk. Yet on the other side my neighbors fence is still 90° since it was there before the new code was implemented. It looks stupid, and I still hate it to this day.

Sounds like it, what parish are you in?
These rules are beyond stupid. I’m required to have a fence around my pool however my neighbor with a pond is not. Slim chances regardless but I’d rather small child
Recovery in a pool vs murky pond.

Here is an example of that required 45 degree angle fencing, at a new house around the corner and down the street from my home in Old Metairie:
It's a corner lot; the driveway is to a carport in the rear accessed off the side street. House and carport are the minimum 10 feet off the sidewalk and the fence is only a foot off the sidewalk. I can see why there is a sightline issue for the sidewalk, but it also is obviously helpful for the street sightlines when backing up (the side street is actually a pretty busy street).
You can see on the left side that the fence contractor, however, had already poured the retaining wall for the fence and left it in. If I were the homeowner I'd have got them to cut the concrete and take that remaining wall section out. Looks pretty dumb just sticking out like that in the grass...

We’re the post already there? Did they concrete them in?

New poles and concrete for everything except for about 50 ft. Also ripped out and hauled away 50 ft chain link and 50 ft wooden.
Y’all are so shocked by this I feel even better than before and I was already happy, haha!
