Atrazine -early winter for stickers

Does Dimension now not prevent stickers? I do not mind hitting it with Atrazine later-I just thought what I did this week was preventing those.

I have prodiamine and specticle. Any harm in mixing them and applying as a pre emergent?

I'm sure dimension hits them hard but Atrazine is the best for stickers.

Look for something that targets "Lawn Burweed". That's the government name for stickers.

I will use this year as a test. It's my first ever use of a preemergent in the Fall.
If it doesn't work, I will hear about when the wife's grand daughter heads out barefooted.

There isn't going to be any harm but in 99% of cases it isn't necessary.

Greencast has my soil temp at 79 degrees this morning. Is 70 the magic number in the fall as well?

I just put my first split app of Spec Flo down yesterday and watered it in.

Good Lord, they are really proud of Spec Flo. Will Prodiamine work, I’ve already invested in that?

I just used their site also. Here in CenLA it's 77 degree average for today. I'm going to wait a little longer and wait till a more solid chance of rain to water it in good.
Ideally, you should be eyeing 75 - 70 degrees,

What rate are you doing now and in march per 1000ft?
Do you spray with 2 gal or 1 per 1000?

Same here, I was wondering if you did a second application for winter.

When applying specticle flo, I have roughly 8000 sq ft…..is .23 oz per 1000sq the correct mixture? That would come out to 1.85 oz

I feel like i've been timid in putting down prodiamine. I've been putting .45oz/KSF twice per year. Combined slightly above the .83oz/KSF not to exceed.

I've had mixed results. What's the that would happen if i bumped it up some with the hopes of better results?

Or should i be hitting my yard with a full year's worth once per year and a full year's worth of something else the other time?

I just bought two 45lb bags of Prodiamine from Yard Mastery last night. This will be my first time ever using preemergent and I plan on also putting it down again in early spring. I walked the entire lawn over the past few weeks spraying Celsius and MSM on all the buttonweed and crabgrass in hopes that I knock those back a good bit for spring/summer control next year.

.10 - .20 fl. oz per 1000 SF is a good rule of thumb (depends on if you're doing a split application). See label LINK
