Ethanol free gas- storage duration.

I bought 4 cans of ethanol free gas in August to store for hurricane season generator. I added sta-bil to it as well. How long can you store it for? Looked at Goggle and people say anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. Anyone have any experience with storing ethanol-free gas?
The gas is kept in a storage shed in my back yard.
Thanks

If you're comfortable hurricane season is over you can put it in your car and not worry about it getting old.
If you followed Sta-Bil directions you could wait till Spring for a mower or other small engine.
Keep in mind you should periodically run you generator to make sure it's operational. Use the gas for that?

I had a can for a generator that sat up at least 18 months. Used it in lawnmower with no problems

Treated it will last a few months but better to just put it in a vehicle and burn it.

I dont store fuel, if a storm is coming I get it then if I dont use it I burn it in any of my cars. I know some guys keep 4-5 5gallong cans and they just keep it rotated out each week burn 5 gal in their car refill the tank move it to the back of the line and so on. Pain in the arse.

What is the best way to "clean" out a gas container that previously had Ethanol in it? Hose it out and air dry for a few days?

Not sure if this is a serious question or not.

The general standard is that ethanol-free gas will be good minimum six months untreated and 12 months with stabilizer, provided that you keep it in a sealed container, etc. I've had stabilized fuel last longer in my boat. However, if in a can and it's getting close to 9-10 months, I'm putting it into my pickup.
