Serviced it completely. Put a new carb on, new fuel filter, new spark plug, cleaned spark arrestor screen, New fuel vent line, air filter is clean. Gets good compression but just can't figure this bastard out. Any suggestions on what else it could be? There is also new fuel in it too that i mix on my own. No premixed fuel.

i removed mine completely, use 50:1 TruFuel and never had an issue in the 13 years ive had it.
not sure if removing the spark arrestor screen completely would help

Are you getting spark? Do you know how to look for that?
If you put a cheap new carb (I've done this multiple time) sometimes those aren't great.
If its getting spark its almost 100% chance its either a clogged fuel line due to ethanol or a carb clog or carb issue.

Yes it is. Every 10 or so pulls it will start and then kill but it also did this before i put a new carb on it. I checked the pickup line and it doesn't look clogged and shot air through it to clean it up.

Remove the spark arrestor and toss it in the trash. Drain gas, add a premix like trufuel just to be sure.
Add a squirt of starting fluid to exhaust and let it rip. Make sure you know how to adjust the carb. Those small cards are finicky at times.

i have the same exact Echo and it has become the bane of my yardwork existence. i have put new carbs on it multiple times, removed the spark arrestor, fricked with the lines, and even taken it to small engine shops to be professionally serviced. every time i do something it will start better for about two weeks and then go back to the same old hard to start bullshite. i'm about to throw it away and go get a Stihl or something. my Stihl edger starts every time and runs like a champ. that Echo trimmer makes me want to rage.

Spark arrestor is probably the issue, can remove it and clean it but I just remove it entirely. I have Echo and Stihl 2-stroke OPE and I've removed the spark arrestors on all of them. TrueFuel won't stop a spark arrestor from plugging up, in fact TrueFuel itself is often a cause of problems. If you want to use a canned fuel, use RedArmor or Stihl brands but mixing your own with Honda HP2, Amsoil Sabre Pro, or Echo RedArmor will always be better. Use canned fuel as an end-of-season flush before storage.

Whelp, you've done basically everything I would have told you to do. I still have the spark arrestor on mine so I haven't had to worry about that.

only other thing I would suggest is the ignition coil. had to replace mine around 10 years old

Check your killswitch. A wire may have come loose inside the handle.

These engines are dead simple, you probably did something silly. I'm assuming it is a ZAMA oem carb?
Make sure you don't have the fuel lines to the carb reversed.

Probably not your issue but I have found these easy to flood the carb when starting. If you follow their recommendations mine will flood every time and not start. Only pump the fuel bulb until it fills - usually 3-4 times.

Did you use an OEM carb? Or a generic Amazon replacement?

The posters who suggested to remove the spark arrestor completely were correct. I took if off and it cranked right up and ran well after adjusting the carb a little bit. I had originally cleaned the spark arrestor screen with a wire brush but i guess it wasn't good enough. Thanks for all the help!

If you're going to clean the spark arrestor, a wire brush isn't going to clean the carbon off enough. The only way to clean one is with a torch and get the spark arrestor glowing. Burn off the carbon.
But removing it works as well.
