Got a quote for $2500 to reinsulate all the ductwork. Never heard back from other company. However this new quote is from a fella that doesn’t speak the best English. Will be sure to inspect his work as he goes.
Hell, it’ll probably be a great job done up there. Seems like some of the sweating has slowed on my issue. We’ll see if we can delay work on it until it’s a little cooler.

Ducts re-insulated. Guys did a good job. Not sure if it’s real or not, but air coming out feels cooler to me. Took them two full days and I feel like they earned their $2500. I priced material at $1,200 so two days for three guys in my attic for $1,300 is it worth it to me.

That's not too bad I guess.

It's usually a float valve that caps it off if I'm reading this correctly. If it backs up with water it should shite the unit off. Also acts as a cap.

quote:no, that’s a vent for the p trap on the drain line. Is your evaporator coil clean?
PVC drain line had cold air blowing out of the top of the pipe you pour bleach in. Should that be capped normally?

It was recently cleaned when we had someone come look at dripping ducts
