Dewalt trimmer - is it worth getting the 60v flex over the 20v?

I recently bought a Dewalt handheld vac and need another battery to add to my collection. I figured I'd take the opportunity to replace my sh*tty husqvarna weed eater with electric. The 20v comes with a 5AH battery and the 60v comes with a 3AH battery that can be used on 20v tools. My yard isn't big. The trimming is done along the fences, around the house, trees, and mailbox. I'm leaning towards the 20v but that's mainly because it's $80 cheaper. Will I end up regretting not getting the 60v?

20v - $219

60v - $299

Go with the 60. Just the battery is worth it.

I love the 20v Dewalt. Just make sure you use strong, thinner string and it cuts really good. The included Dewalt string is perfect. $219 sounds really high. The 20v model that folds comes with a really cool head that loads in 30 seconds. The model that doesn’t fold does not.
I was being really really reckless with mine, using it to scalp to bare dirt for 3x 5ah batteries straight and lost a top motor bearing. It was $1 to fix. Other than that, zero issues for several years.

ETA also the model that doesn’t fold has some issues with bad wiring near the trigger. Easy to fix but something to be aware of.

The tool only version is a lot cheaper. This one comes with a 5ah battery.

I had the 60v model. Purchased as bare tool on a clearance for around $90. It honestly wasn't worth that. Burnt up the motor assembly after maybe 10 uses.

And, I have no problem with my 18v Ryobi string trimmer and leaf blower. Maybe our tools suck and we're just superior men.

I bought my dad the 20V Dewalt model after the 58V Echo was orphaned. I have lots of 20V batteries to give him if the ones it came with ever died off. It's got plenty of power for his needs, small yard and it's mostly taken care of by their yard guy anyway. If it was me I'd go with 60V because I also already have 60V batteries and tools and a bit more power is never a bad thing.

I have the 60V trimmer, grinder, and sawzall. Love them.

As stated a couple above me, you can and will burn up the motor if you’re trimming heavy growth. I burned up my first one trimming the common space area between my fence and our lake. But they only cut the grass once a month or so. Since then, I’ve only used it in my yard that is cut weekly and have had no problems over the last couple years.
