Cleggs Winter Cocktail ok on bermuda right now?

can't find any definitive answers, can i use cleggs winter cocktail on my bermuda right now? It's 90% dormant with some semi-green spots in areas protected from north wind. I don't want to spray this then have a bunch of dead spots come springtime. my yard is the most weed free in the neighborhood but they are popping up here and there and you know i can't stand for that.
Note: i'm seeing more weeds than usual since i didn't pre-emerge. I'm planning on overseeding in the spring and didn't want any lingering pre-emerge effects.

I thought Clegg's Cocktail was only good on St. Aug/Centipede?
Craw/Ronk might be able to help out in answering that.
Also posting the link to the question I had in the spring board if someone can provide any insight. Is there a quality difference between Hi-Yield and Southern Ag brands ?

I don't think you can put atrazine on bermuda

If you are comfortable with the fact the bermuda is dormant, minus a few small spots, you can use the cocktail, but you certainly can use the Weed Free Zone by itself (+ the surfactant) - it’s an extremely effective herbicide when used alone. The combo cocktail with the Atrazine just provides an added synergism.
Now, b/c you stated you plan to overseed this spring, I probably would forgo the use the cocktail combo and just stick with the Weed Free Zone b/c Atrazine, though an effective post-emergent, also does provide some significant pre-emergent activity.

ok, i'll use the atrazine on my in law's st aug and stick with weed free zone+surfactant for these winter weeds til it warms up.
On overseeding, looking for what to buy. i have common currently (planted from a sack of seeds i had bought from a landscaper). Looking online for seeds, i see there's both hulled and unhulled as well as coated and uncoated. What's right for overseeding? and how many lbs/1000SF do i need to shoot for?

Like Craw said it does have a slight pre em effect. Depending on your see timing you would probably be ok. However, atrazine cannot be applied to green bermuda so I don't know if your lawn is fully dormant. I would rather be safe than sorry.
As far as seed goes if you plan to do it under normal spring conditions (70-80's high and mid 50-60 lows) you would want hulled bermuda. It will germinate faster. If you were to put it down while there is still a chance for freeze you would want unhulled.

thanks. i'll skip the atrazine in my yard. planning on overseeding in prime spring time when its ready to grow quick.
looking at my log from last year i sprayed celsius on 2/26 then msm on 5/14. If i go with celsuis in late feb then plant, say 4/1, i shoudl be good, right? then herbicide and again in may along with fertilizer.

You should be good. Celsius does remain active in the lawn for a short time but that seems like a long enough break. I would only spot treat though.

I would spot treat with any herbicide if I could.

I’m trying to mix in Royal Bengal into some bare areas with common. It’s coated seed from Hancock. Had excellent germination with it last year. It spread nicely with some Milorganite as a carrier.

Likely 1lb/1000, but check with Hancock. There’s a lot of seeds in a 1lb of Bermuda seed. They are tiny. That’s why I use a carrier to spread them.

Overseeding with Bermuda is best done with a clean seedbed. So be sure to rake those dead spots out as well as you can. I assume it’s because it’s sprouting is negatively affected by even a little shade.

I really don't have bare or dead spots, it's a relatively even thickness throughout and looks good, it's just not thick.
not sure how to best explain it but in my front yard, it slopes away (maybe 4"-6" on 10', not crazy) from the house and when i planted we got a lot of rain (i actually planted a few times) and a lot ran off whereas on the side where there's not much slope, all those seeds stayed and it's thick like a high schooler's head of hair.

How does the mix of common and hybrid bermuda look in your yard? I have predominantly bermuda (appears common), and have considered overseeding with a hybrid. Mine is also thin in spots where it slopes away from house.
For ronk/craw, I have what looks like poa popping up even though i applied preeem in the fall. What herbicides should I use on this if not atrazine? I also have some slight green up of my bermuda.

You can't overseed with a hybrid. Any seed you purchase will be a variety of common.
You can use Katana or Blindside. Katana is more expensive.

Why is that? Are the hybrid seeds specifically for commercial growers?
