Stained Concrete.... just do hardwoods, stick with the classics when building.

You will regret going with stained concrete. I know it’s cheaper but just imagine walking on your patio year round. The only difference is it will have some color

Imagine walking on ‘wood looking’ tile, Vinyl planks and the crap being sold as hardwood. Nothing wrong with stained concrete if it’s done correctly.

OP we have a house with German Smear look. I can post a picture to you if interested. Also have 4 year old stained concrete floors (our first house did as well). Super easy maintenance and very easy to reseal. I don't mind the coldness or "hardness". We have nice rugs in the normal places.

Did you stain them yourself? I was thinking of DIYing it.

Is it solid color, or marbled/veined effect?

We have stained concrete in our home and love it. Put it down 18 years ago and have never resealed it and it is still super glossy. would 100% do again. Some people think it is marble depending on colors and design
