Any suggestions or reviews for a not so expensive option for patio that moves a lot of air?
Thanks

Do you want something that mounts on a wall or ceiling?

We put in a fan by Minka Aire and it works pretty well. Would have loved an actual Big arse Fan but wasn’t going to pay over 2k for a porch fan.

I love the backstory on the name. The owner was having trouble attracting attention for his product because he was using the technical terminology and no one was biting.

His friend had recently retired or something similar and had a knack for marketing. Said he needed to just call them what they were and the business started to take off.

He did say that they made stickers to cover the name when they installed some in a church though.

B.A.F. makes a residential line of fans called Haiku. Not sure if they make an outdoor version, but we had one in our last house and it was amazing.

I got this big bad boy from Steins. It’s a HD link, but Hessaire is badass! I would buy it again!

Look for an outdoor rated with the highest CFMs.

The Minka Aire H2O mentioned early is a fantastic patio fan. I put 2 in our poolhouse and liked them so much we changed our original patio fans to them as well.

Smooth, quiet, and moves a lot of air. They have solid ABS blades that won't droop in the LA humidity

we install a lot of big arse fans in warehouses.
the minka air model noted above is a good substitute and is what I will be installing in my covered porch

you want metal blades and moisture resistant circuitry

I installed the 65" Minka Aire fan with a 2' down rod not too long ago. It moves a lot of air and we've been pleased. We'll see how it does once Summer is in full effect.

I did the exact thing In February. (but got mine form Home Depot) We shall see how they handle the July and August heat, but so far much better than what I had before.

My only complaint, I hate having to use a remote. I'd rather a switch.

I bought a i6 BAF last year for my outdoor covered patio and tbh I am disappointed. Was expecting much more with a 2k price tag. I see they now offer a cheaper option in the ES(?) model for around 1k without all the bells and whistles. If I could do it again- I probably would look at that one.
