There are generators already available with CO monitoring, this isn't going to save the lives of imbeciles that still chose to misuse them.
The data says otherwise, unless you have different data to share?

Nor is it only going to cost $50/unit, those estimates are never correct
Do you have your own estimate to share?

Once again the low-IQ's need more government regs to save them from their stupidity. Typical...
Speaking of low IQ, do you have any comments on the blatant inaccuracy of OP's title?

Stop running you generators indoors. They also make battery operated sensors you can put around the house. I also bet that Whole home generators are next.

Yeah but they are losing votes in the process

Far more than $50 considering the CPSC is demanding more than just shut-off switches. Cost to consumers you imagine certainly does account for those additional systems, design changes, or reliability problems.

Nothing is inaccurate, the CPSC is advocating to ban sales of new generators that don't have nanny-state controls. Once again, low-IQ dolts like you are an impediment to society.

Do you even think about what you're saying?

They are limiting the concentration of toxic gas that a generator can emit.

Your vehicle has a catalytic converter. Were vehicles literally outlawed when they were required?

Were vehicles literally outlawed when seat belts were required? Air bags? ESC? How many times have we literally outlawed vehicles?

How about things like the NEC? More useless nanny state requirements?

Once again, low-IQ dolts like you are an impediment to society.

Show me a place without safety regs so we can see what an advanced society looks like.

Clowns, the lot of you.

Also making dishwashing machines more shitty than they already are. Senator Kennedy went off on a rant about the new proposed rule which will limit the amount of water used per cycle.
