You still need clear coat wipes or spray. The wipes are better if you aren’t sanding.

I just replaced the entire fixtures on my 2005 Colorado. Came with bulbs and wire. Pretty much plug and play for around $100 at Rock Auto.

This is the way I went when my headlights were looking nasty. Got them in just 3-4 days after ordering and it took me WAY less time to remove the old and install the new than it would to have done the work to refinish the lenses.

Oh, and sometimes if moisture gets on the inside, there really isn't much you can do about it and replacement is the best option in that case too.

sams club used to offer this service for like $30 and if they started to re-fog they would redo them for free.

the short answer is we need to go back to fricking glass headlights. the plastic headlights are bullshite. my son had an 83 blazer with original headlights and they were still crystal clear 30+ years later.

I didn’t use anything other than what I said and it worked wonderfully.

I just did a restoration using the kit from Harbor Freight, which is several progressively finer sanding discs and a polish coat. Worked very well. Seems like a long lasting solution.
