My damn lawnmower was stolen (have security cameras and lights, etc... now).
I'm looking for a cheap replacement (under $250 is possible). Any advice?

I will say this, you get what you pay for.
Push, riding, or zero turn?

I know, but I'm a little worried about the damn thing being stolen again so I don't want to go all out
My last one was a CRAFTSMAN M250 160-cc 21-in Self-propelled Gas Lawn Mower with Honda Engine LINK
It's $350 at Lowes
I liked it a lot but I don't think I want to spend $400 on a mower until I know it's not going to get jacked again

I bought a reconditioned, self propelled TORO when I bought my first house in 2005 to cut our 1/2 acre yard. Could not kill the thing. Would not consider another brand personally having had so much success with that one. Finally gave it to a pal a couple years ago after moving to a newer place with a bigger yard.

Lowe's just recently had their annual spring sale and I got that same mower for $300 even. It's been a great purchase so far.

I would look for a Honda on FB marketplace. Not sure there is a better push mower out there.

Pick up a used one then with a Honda motor.

Check the local pawn shops and try to buy yours back.

Sigh, probably the best advice, I found a decent one on facebook marketplace for $160, might pull the trigger

I bought a self propelled Cub Cadet for around $250 last year and have no complaints.

I'm just going to keep it in my garage even though it will make it smell like grass...
Assholes ripped the lock off of my shed to steal my lawnmower

Go to Home Depot and look in the outside garden area. That’s where they put the refurbished lawn mowers. Basically someone bought a new one, it didn’t work and the manufacturer fixed it.
Like new for super cheap. I got a Toro and after two years, still satisfied.

I bought a Husqvarna with a Honda engine when we bought our house 4 years ago and haven’t had a single problem with it. I think I paid about $400 for it at Lowe’s.

Toro self propelled. 10 years old only thing replaced was head gasket which is under $10 and very easy to change. Starts on 1 or 2 cranks even after being laid up over the winter.

I have the same in the black Sears model and it's a great mower, though I got it on a crazy sale last year. Cut a little over a half acre of St. Aug and Centipede with it the whole season and the beginning of this season and it never missed a beat.
I'll say this to the OP: for a single cylinder push lawn mower, get one with a Honda engine if you can help it.

Walmart has a Snapper SP for 327.00 I think. I need a lawnmower as well and thinking of picking up one of these. Anyone have any experience with this mower? I think the model is SP-110.

Go to Home Depot and pick out mower around your price range. Ask to speak to the store manger. When he shows up ask for a discount. I got $100 off a Honda mower 2 weeks ago just for asking. You don’t have to pay asking price because the managers have the leave way to cut prices. It works at all big box stores. Trust me and you can thank me later.
