I made the mistake of bbqing in my favorite shorts and somehow got grease all over them. I already tried baking soda but it didn't work. Do you have any remedies you suggest?

Shout in the aerosol can. My mom schooled my wife with this trick recently. Wasn’t a pretty day at my house afterwards.

Simple Green concentrate. Dilute per instructions and use in a spray bottle.

Whatever you use to pre-treat them, once you wash them, inspect them closely before drying. Drying will lock that stain in! I used to pre-treat the grass stains on my kid’s football pant knees with some OXI stuff, wash them, and while still damp, pour liquid detergent on the stain spot and scrub by doubling the fabric over on itself.

Try “totally awesome”. I get it at the dollar store.

True story. I was reinforcing fiberglass in my boat hull when I installed a wakeboard tower. I got fiberglass resin on the seat. Immediately got some gas to clean the fiberglass off. Didn’t help. Washed with soap and water. Nothing. Sprayed with awesome and it wiped right off.

Dawn on the stains, roll em up and don't wash for a few days. Dawn even gets out grease stains after clothes have been washed and dried. Just got to put it on the stain and give it time to do its thing.
