I had the heater on tonight and it has been blowing air but not heated air. Tried turning it off at the thermostat and it just keeps blowing. Tried seeing if running a colder temp on AC would do anything and it is the same, just blowing air. Thermostat is set to AUTO instead of ON.

Any idea how to turn off the blower fan? The system is under warranty so I'm having someone come out but that likely isn't until Monday and I'd rather it now be blowing air for the next 2 days.

ETA- It finally shut off after the thermostat has been in the OFF position for about 45 min.

Turn the breaker off and then back on.

warmed or cooled air, not just ambient air!

Inside unit may have a leak. If there's no Freon (or low Freon), the house won't cool.

Call your AC guy and be lucky you hit a problem at an opportune time.

I am even more confused, does it draw its air from outside?

Description unclear, penis currently stuck in the toaster.

OP, I had the same issue in my house in Auburn and there was some electrical component that needed to be replaced. It was about a $200 fix IIRC. However, shutting the breaker off may reset something so that's worth a try. I've done that twice with my dishwasher, which is about $150 in trip charges for someone to do the same thing. You can also troubleshoot the hell out of things these days using Google, sometimes down to the model.

I was just pulling his chain a bit, I will go out on a limb and call my shot, it is the transformer.

That may have been my issue... actually I just Googled the image and that's exactly what my issue was... it had burned out. The HVAC rep brought it up and showed me. The more you know....

If the OP is still lurking around they are 20 bucks or less for most models on Amazon. Should take an hour or less.

electronic circuit board went bad or you tripped an overheat sensor.

either way it needs a service man to check it out, its not something you should be trying to reset yourself and it will most likely require replacement board

Appreciate the info guys. I'm paying the $75 call out fee and whatever the repair is will be covered. I'll report back when they tell me what it was

The blowers have a switch that turn them on, Ive had them go bad in rental properties before where the blower never turns off. Could be a transformer too.

open the control panel cover and watch the led blink rate. then google your furnace brand's legend of led blinks. it will tell you what the fault is.

then, unplug it for an hour, change your filter and plug it in.

i say change the filter because my a/c charged me a service call and left saying "tell dude to change his damn filter more often."

Can’t be the transformer. If it was bad, nothing would work unless the component is stuck in the position it was in when the transformer went out

Mine did the same a few weeks back
I’m probably going to get this wrong but it was a contact on the A/C that was stuck so it was blowing cool air along with the heat so ambient air coming out the vent
It did cut off when I just thermostat off though
