LINK

I’ve been in this neighborhood twenty years and this is only the third sale listing among the dozen or so homes in the subdivision. The entire property was once a dairy farm…multi acre lots (this listing is actually the smallest) on a dead end street. The area around us is building up pretty quickly so these lots (and rivercrest behind us) are pretty unique for being so close to town.

anyway, thought this might be of interest to someone. They’ll get their price or close to it, it’s a matter of finding the right buyer. Hammond isn’t for everyone but we love it

Nice place. Needs at least $150,000 of TLC.

That is the most unnaturally shaped pond I think I've ever seen. It's almost a perfect circle.

the dude who built that pond also built 4 ponds on the two lots across the street…I think he was going for a kind of golf course look or something

anyway I’ve been in the house a few times and it’s been updated and it in the last ten years I’m guessing. We knew the young couple selling it but they were only there a couple years

as I said I’ve been in my house 20, I’m the third owner since 1979. My neighbors house has sold once since 1976. The three across from us two are the original owners. There’s four more across from the listed house, three are original owners

Never knew that road was a dairy farm back in the day, explains the unique layout of the neighborhood.

I saw a nice house just sold for a good price on the other end of Coburn last week, I think it sold in 1 or 2 days, so this one shouldn't last long.

But why? You’ll know I won a powerball when my butler answers the phone for me while I’m cruising the South Pacific

The property is ideal for my retirement home. Its just 30 years too early for that. LOVE the pond. The house needs some work but the property is great.

$187 per foot for a 30 year old house, and looks like it doesn’t even have a driveway, much less garage.

Wood paneling?

Seems high…

Just sold 5 years ago for $136/ft….lol.
Someone trying to pull one over ion someone!!

This is the 5th time that house has been on the market in 20 years.

only the third house individually that has sold though, which is what I meant. My next door neighbor, the house next to him, and this one

these houses only rarely go on the market which was my point. People buy and stay

If the ponds date back to the dairy operation they may have been part of a waste management system. Managing cow dung is a major thing. Another purpose might be borrow pits to get fill for the roadbed or elevate the buildings. That's a common south Louisiana thing.
