Any risk of using too much Pro D? Was going to go with the 5g/Gal but don’t want to overdue it. Or should I just quit being lazy and do the measurement test with my sprayer?

Also - any risk to spraying the clovers, etc that I spot sprayed with MSM with Pro D? Or should I skip those areas? Don’t want to scorch them.

What’s the best way to get rid of the “ruts” that are left? The grass isn’t torn up, it’s just depressions from the tires.

Had the same issue with our house addition. I had them bring a whole load of sand and used what was left over to fill low spots. Its worked well. It seems to hold heat better than the rest of the yard so I am seeing more green up there than in other spots.

Either but liquid is a bit better.

Yes, you can overdo it. Just follow the exact fill rate per thousand square feet. MSM and Prodiamine have no cross over effects so you can spray prodiamine where you have previously put down MSM.

I'm starting to see some clovers and weeds. Is it too late to hit the yard with Celsius? Should I do Celsius AND a post-emergent? If so, which should I get? Image?

Sethoxydim pretty much every two weeks during the growing season. And do your best to get the centipede thick. But honestly it’s a losing battle.

It’s too early for Celsius. Use the winter weed cocktail. Celsius is a post emergent.

Double the dose on the bottle as well. You will get some yellowing but it will knock the torpedograss back harder

What pre emergent did you use and how long ago exactly did you apply it. You'll probably be able to do another round here shortly. The first cut is a scalp and bag. A half inch if you can get it that tight.

Prodiamine and it was applied on February 10th. Good to know on the length. Do i just cut it when it starts to green or anytime?

Can I put Clegg's cocktail and barricade down together or just one? I have st aug grass that is less than a year, if that matters. Excuse my ignorance. Trying to learn. Thanks!

I just put down my 1st app of prodiamine for spring Sunday. Would have rathered done it a week earlier but this is fine. 5 day average soil temp was barely above 55

I’m guessing aerate after a rain? Does it matter when? Now versus a month from now? Middle of summer? Or just any time is ok?
Best to do it while grass is growing vigorously. I did it late May last year if I remember correctly

The aerators that are just spikes or the shoe spikes dont do much.

How often do people do this? How can you tell if your lawn needs it?

My yard is burmuda (DFW area) and about a year old, is this something I need to consider doing this year?

Pre-emergent went down last week.

To piggyback off the previous questions, I’m planning on doing a core aeration for the first time this year. Centipede lawn on the Northshore. When should I do the aeration? Should I topdress & fertilize immediately after aeration? TIA

I aerate once a year. I also suggest doing it at least every other year. Next week I would scalp the lawn as low as possible and bag the clippings. Fert time in dfw should be in April.

To the other poster asking about timing/top dressing. Aerate I’m the spring when the grass is actively growing. Top dressing depends on if you need to level the lawn or if you have bad soil. If you have heavy clay then I’d top dress with sand.
