I don't visit the food board, but the movie review threads seem trolltastic as well.

What the Euro hipsters, who make up a large number of posters on the Soccer Board, don't understand is they are part of the machinery that is holding back American soccer. They can cry and complain and take umbrage about how I hurt their feelings, but their goal of trying to superimpose a disparate European soccer culture and system unto America is failing and will have disastrous ramifications in the future when youth, middle school, and high school soccer participation plummets. It's like Big East fans trying to force an SEC style of football culture on the people of New York and Boston. It won't work for a variety of reasons.
But the haters want to silence critics who they deem minatory all because the critics see through their grandiose folly. Until they realize that forcing American soccer to become an epigone of European soccer is a radical failure, they are the cancer that needs ridding. Let them come to the Help Board to prevaricate, hoping others will focus on shooting the messenger, not the problem the messenger raises.
