Get a big towel and a stick.

Lay the towel out flat.

Put some small important things in the towel. I recommend a black and white photo of your lover or family, a can of beans or two, pack of smokes, and a memento.

Wrap the towel up by the corners and tie it to the end of the stick.

Walk to the nearest train tracks, wait for an open cargo train car, and jump in.

If there happens to be a dead body in there, toss it out, it doesn't mean much to you.

Travel the rails for a while going town to town, always giving a different name and never standing out more than anyone else sad an alone at the bar.

Occasionally you can show the other people you meet on the trains the black and white photo. Tell them a vague yet oddly compelling story about how you lost the person in the photo and that the memento is all you have left to remember home by. But you've forgotten home long ago.

You can make booze and travel money by doing oddjobs, always for cash. Do the jobs well, but keep to yourself. Afterall, relationships are a trouble you dont need. And being tied down will just lead you down the path you ran from so long ago.

By the time you die you'll realize you started over years ago and it was too late to go back. Your dieing thought will be that its funny, you never really started over because you never really started anything.

You die alone and sad in a train car full of regret but assured that your life meant something to someone. But you only mean a slightly uncomfortable task to the next wandering soul.
