It is asinine to remove religious threads from the poliboard.

I said the same thing and got a "Why don't you just leave?" from Tiger Fred.
Maybe it was my delivery...

partisans of religions inject their authority-based (THE BIBLE SAYS SO!) points of view into the national discourse of real politics, just as Santorum has.
So to that extent, we are forced to deal with some kinds of religio-political threads.
the Catholics post their local bishops entire sermons on the political board, and or Papal edicts on their issues. Cant the Catholics find a Catholic website on which to publicly kiss the Pope's ring? Just posting a Papal edict is no where near the same as fully considering all sides of an issue.
On the contrary, there are posters who point out that you are going to hell for being against their dogma. That should result in bannage, IMO.

You are one of the reasons that religion was taken of the Poli board with your complaining about religious help board threads. Gmorgan is trying to paint Christians as the ones who wanted the threads gone. I haven't seen myself or many other Christians starting help board threads complaining about religious threads like Otto. I think gmorgan's criticism is off base.
Also, I will be a huge supporter of a religious discussion board though. I just thought that our discussions on the political talk board went pretty well. I didn't see too much flaming from either side and thought there was great civil discussion. Not sure why a few bad apples that didn't contribute to the threads are trying to ruin a good thing.

Methinks Otto is jealous and wants an adi-da (the one on the right...I think) board

if we post a bishops homily on why the HSS mandate is bad that is very political.

sampling of a babe thread thread on the new jesus board
Babe Thread Rules: No skin allowed except for maybe hands & eyes. All women must be totally covered, and no hotness whatsoever should be visible. Also, keep your mind clean you sick perverted bastards. There should not be any sexually explicit acts taking place before, during and after the viewing of the pics. Go to church.

Merge the music board and movie/tv board into an entertainment board.
Re-name the political talk board into and ideology discussion board.

I always thought it could be called the Board of Lies, since it deals with politicians and clergy.

Solid point but kinda hard to enforce no flaming rules when the board name is a flame.

I would ask that the Daily Bible Study Thread be allowed to finish on the OT. We started there and will be finishing within a month.

It's a pro-Christian thread, so I'm sure it's OK.

I am not sure if it has been discussed, but what about treating it like the morning and lunch threads? Every day there can be one thread to discuss religion. Any news or events that happens that day have to be posted in the religious thread
It seems like the only win-win solution available. People can still discuss religion, but they will have to do so in the one thread specifically for it.
